Today we canoe'd about 6 miles at the Skokie Lagoons near the Chicago Botanical gardens. We had a few obstacles to overcome, a few dams and an earthen dike to get over. We talked about how our faith journey can be full of obstacles too, and how, as it tells us in Hebrews 10:39, "we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved." On the trip were Reyna, Jennifer, Justin, Carol, Adrian, Carrie, Danielle, Jonathan, and Jeff. We look forward to the next adventure, a trip with Paul Kaufman to the Train Museum in Algonquin.
